  2. Learning objectives: • Learn a new reading strategy. • Deal with the language goals in the unit: make requests and apologize.

  3. How many rules of etiquette can you see being broken? Can you make a polite request to each of them ? talking on the mobile phone in a loud voice smoking talking and laughing loudly on the bus dropping litter spitting on the bus

  5. Reading strategy --- Topic Sentence 主题句 As we read, we need to find “topic sentences”. These sentences usually give us a “summary”, or overall meaning of each paragraph and help us understand what the paragraph is about. After the topic sentence comes more detail and explanation.
