  1. RCF Status • Smooth operation over the course of last week • No reportable incidents of the Mass Storage System (HPSS), the Tape Libraries and the Network • Data received from PHENIX & STAR Counting Houses was safely migrated to Tape • Initially observed increasing aggregate data rates from the Counting Houses to RCF • PHENIX & STAR have accumulated ~495TB of RAW data since the start of Run12 (next slide) • Data rate has been lower for both experiments in the last few days

  2. Physics Raw Data Volume collected & archived hiE pp loE pp AU PHENIX Raw Data 180 TB 4980 TB 2/10 3/05 STAR Raw Data 315 TB 3210 TB 02/10 03/09

  3. PHENIX and STAR Data Rate & Transfer Patternon the link between PHENIX and STAR Counting Houses (CH) Last 7 Days (03/02-03/09) PHENIX CH => RCF STAR CH => RCF 4 Gbps 6 Gbps Since Run12 started PHENIX CH => RCF STAR CH => RCF • PHENIX and STAR have headroom on a single 10 Gbps link between their CHs and RCF • Data rate for both experiments has been lower in the last few days Mock Data Challenge 8 Gbps 2 Gbps Run12 Data Taking STAR
