  2. PURPOSE To evaluate current levels of cleanliness on Metro Bus, Bus Shelters, Metro Rail and Transit Centers

  3. FRAMEWORK Survey Overview: Promotion: Metro rider alerts, instant updates and through the CAC Conducted online from Dec. 3 – 31, 2013 17 multiple choice questions with comment sections 605 responses were received 26% answered section on Metro Bus; 33% - Metro Rail; 42% - Both Response scale:

  4. METRO BUS Respondents who are satisfied with the cleanliness of the exterior of Metro Buses is 60%. 343 customers responded to this inquiry.

  5. METRO BUS • Conditions observed regularly on Metro Bus: 343 customers responded to this inquiry.

  6. METRO BUS SHELTERS Respondents who are satis-fied with the cleanliness of Metro Bus Shelters is 43%. 7% of respondents do not use shelters during their trips. 343 customers responded to this inquiry.

  7. METRO BUS SHELTERS • Conditions observed regularly at Metro Bus Shelters: 343 customers responded to this inquiry.

  8. METRO RAIL • Respondents who are satisfied with the cleanliness of the exterior of rail cars is 66%. 348 customers responded to this inquiry.

  9. METRO RAIL • Conditions observed regularly while using Metro Rail: 348 customers responded to this inquiry.

  10. METRO TRANSIT CENTERS Respondents rated the cleanliness of various components at Metro Transit Centers as follows: 343 customers responded to this inquiry.

PERCEPTIONS • Respondents rated the cleanliness of Metro vehicles and facilities as follows: • Respondents indicated the general level of cleanliness of Metro vehicles and facilities as follows: 1 (very poor) – 3% 2 – 4% 3 – 10% 4 – 15% 5 – 18% 6 – 16% 7 – 17% 8 – 13% 9 – 3% 10 (outstanding) – 1% 502 customers responded to these inquiries.

COMMENTS • 66 relative comments received. • Favorable • More focus appears to be placed on maintaining the level of cleanliness throughout the Metro system than in the past. • Unfavorable • Primary concerns are related to soiled seats, gritty floors and odor within the Metro system. 272 customers responded to this inquiry.
