  3. A Key comparison of MCAT and USMLE Structure METRICS TO SCORE The MCAT and USMLE are scored also differently. On the one hand, MCAT score is used to assess a student's knowledge relative to the other applicants. Therefore, there is no real "pass/fail" point. Instead, a student must perform as well as possible to be competitive in admissions. The USMLE,is divided into three different "steps" of material. For example, a student can opt to do a USMLE Step 2 CS Prep to deal with the clinical skills necessary to encounter with patients. The third step includes some computer-based case simulations along with several multiple-choice questions to test the student.

Commonly used techniques used by trained professionals include and not limited to; EMTs, paramedics, lifeguards and other personnel in charge of emergency response.

  6. What is BLS Online BLS certification programmes train medical staffs to perform live saving techniques on adults, children and even infants. Basic Life Support essentially aims to keep the victim, suffering from life-threatening conditions alive until being transferred to a hospital or during transfers to different medical centres.

  7. Every Pre-Med Should Understand the Medical Hierarchy of Hospitals There are multiple levels of practicing medicine. Many people exist on a physician team, each having their own responsibilities. Some are licensed to practice medicine, while others are studying and working hard to get there. Is it your goal to someday become an attending physician? Or do you aspire to run a whole department or even an entire hospital someday? Every pre-med should understand how the hierarchy works at most hospitals to understand just how far they can go in their careers at these facilities.
