  3. Meet the Author As a child GittyDaneshvari talked and talked and talked. Whether yammering at her sister through a closed door or bombarding her parents with questions while they attempted to sleep, she absolutely refused to stop chattering until finally there was no one left to listen. In need of an outlet for her thoughts, Gitty began writing and she hasn’t stopped since.Gitty is the author of the middle grade series SCHOOL OF FEAR, SCHOOL OF FEAR 2: CLASS IS NOT DISMISSED and SCHOOL OF FEAR 3: THE FINAL EXAM (Little Brown For Young Readers). She is also the author of the adult romantic comedy THE MAKEDOWN (Grand Central).

  4. Summary Madeleine Materson is deathly afraid of bugs, especially spiders. Theodore Bartholomew is petrified of dying. Lulu Punchalower is scared of confined spaces. Garrison Feldman is terrified of deep water. Which is why it is the scareiest summer of their lives. Worse than detention or summer school. Even worse than the orthodonist.

  5. Likes/Dislikes I LOVED this book. It was suspenseful and full of FEAR.

  6. Recommendations I give this book 4 out of 5 stars. It was a really good read. I would recommend it to students who are in middle school and like suspenseful stories. Do not get discouraged by the length of the book. It’s worth it!
