About us Encouraging Positive Relationships We will take an eight day pilgrimage to visit Haiti where we will have an opportunity to tour five schools in three different parts of Haiti, including Artibonite, Port au Prince and Jacmel. In addition, we will meet the children we are serving, as well as encourage the beginning of positive relationships. Payment Arrangements Costs for the Pilgrimage Pilgrimage Itinerary December 14 – 22, 2014 Crayons for Haiti is a grassroots, non profit, community organization whose mission is to facilitate access to a global education for school students whose schools are in distress. Through continuous communication ,we aim to establish positive and lasting relationships. We implement this plan by encouraging schools and organizations to sponsor a Crayons for Haiti barrel to fill up with school, art and/or dance supplies, along with the costs to ship to their respective schools. Thanks to the Women’s Christian Alliance’s OST program, we were able to begin our communication component; as the children made a video and wrote letters to the children in Haiti. Moreover, on our last pilgrimage some children took time to write letters back to the children here in Philadelphia. Therefore, we intend to continue facilitating this communication and encouraging more global connections. Depart from Philadelphia on December 14 Fly to Port au Prince, ride to Artibonite and we will visit an orphanage there on Monday, December 15th. On December 16th, we will ride back to Port au Prince where we have two schools to visit. In addition, we will visit the National Museum of Haiti. On December 18, we will ride to Jacmel, where we will visit two schools. There, we will also have an opportunity to go the beach and participate in local activities. On December 21, we will return to Port au Prince to facilitate travel back to Philadelphia on December 22, 2014. Package includes airfare, hotel, breakfast, dinner and transportation.
