Support to strategy development • Membership on 4 Plan for Modernization of Agriculture (PMA) technical sub-committees: • Environment and Natural Resources • Marketing and Agro-Processing • Food and Nutrition Security • Monitoring and Evaluation • Formal critique and input into “Uganda Food and Nutrition Strategy and Investment Plan (UFNSIP)” Page 2

Support to agricultural research • Training on methodologies, survey design, data collection, data analysis, writing policy reports and briefs, through: • Direct collaborative links with national research institutions and researchers • Research assistant and enumerator training through projects • East Africa Food Policy Network competitive grants • Training students at Makerere University • Lecturing in MS Econometrics • Supervision of Thesis/Dissertation • Resource persons at workshops • Transfer of data, models, software and hardware, and other materials to local collaborators Page 3
