  6. Svalbard – 8 reports (2 full GACs) 1 Dec 2012 – Rev 19656 – Lost HRPT lock, GDP reset after pass. 31 Dec 2012 – Rev 20079 – No TIP data, cause unknown. 2 Mar 2013 – Rev 20939 - GAC did not lock up on first attempt. Data was re-dumped. Receiver rebooted at site. 3 Mar 2013 – Revs 20953, 20954 - No initial lock on GAC, EUM recycled DL convertor, second attempts successful.

  7. Svalbard – 8 reports (2 full GACs) 13 Mar 2013 – Rev 21095 - EUM FEP crash. GAC was not received at SVL. 22 Mar 2013 – Rev 21221 - No lock on Demods at SVL at GAC Start. Reconfigured antenna to use LHCP on DC-2. Not enough time left in pass to reset recorder for re-play at SVL. EUM AR 14731 - GAC was not received at SVL. 6 Apr 2013 – Rev 21433 - No TIP frames received. EUM reported their cortex was going in and out. Multiple resets of DCU and IFR did not correct.

  8. Fairbanks – 5 reports (3 partial, 1 full GAC) 12 Dec 2012 – Rev 19809 - Data transfer had numerous errors and drop locks. FBKS rebooted RT-5 (wideband) to resolve issue. EUM AR 14537 - GAC was not received (in any usable form) at EUM. 1 Jan 2013 – Rev 20091 - EUM Reports about 63s of data missing at the beginning of the dump. Tape transfer statement had to be sent 3 times. Bad telemetry in data quality report. EUM AR 14573 – partial GAC loss.

  9. Fairbanks – 8 reports (3 partial, 1 full GAC) 11 Feb 2013 – Rev 20683 - EUM reports several short gaps, 1m29 total of missing data. Bad telemetry in data quality report. EUM AR 14650 - partial GAC loss. 19 Feb 2013 – Rev 20796 - Post -pass transfer delayed due to software process failure at station. No loss. 23 Apr 2013 – Rev 21672 - The processes on the Comm Controller did not restart after the Matrix Switch was rebooted. EUM AR 14796 – partial GAC loss.

  10. Wallops – 4 reports (2 partial, 1 full GAC) 18 Jan 2013 – Rev 20334 - Snowfall prevented transfer of GAC data. EUM AR 14605 – GAC not received at EUM. 4 Feb 2013 – Rev 20574 - Bad telemetry in data quality report. Approx 1m11s gaps. EUM AR 14636 – partial GAC loss. 6 Mar 2013 – Rev 20998 - Bad telemetry in data quality report. Missing 3m47s. EUM AR 14705 – partial GAC loss. 26 Mar 2013 – Rev 21286 - GAC was shipped late to EUM due to equipment problems at WCDA. No loss.

  11. PDS – 12 reports (6 full GACs) 4 Dec (19701), 5 Dec (19717), 11 Jan (20237), 20 Feb (20798), 22 Mar (21222), 10 Apr (21490) – PDS errors, no GAC losses, 1 TIP, 1 HRPT loss. 24 Dec (19991, AR 14564), 11 Jan (20236, AR 14594), 16 Jan (20314, 20315, AR 14601), 22 Mar (21223, 21224, AR 14735) – 1 GAC not received at EUM per Rev New PDS machines in place 10 April 2013. Patches for better functionality due for install June 2013.

  12. Controller Error – 4 reports (3 partial, 1 full GAC) 9 Dec 2012 – Rev 19778 - path cleared while transfer was in progress. No AR found – partial GAC loss. 13 Dec 2012 – Rev 19826 – path cleared while transfer was in progress. EUM AR 14539 – partial GAC loss. 17 Dec 2012 – Rev 19891 - Controller incorrectly set up data path. EUM AR 14555 – GAC not received at EUM.

  13. Controller Error – 4 reports (3 partial, 1 full GAC) 25 April 2013 – Rev 21713 – Postpass delayed in scheduled by 22 minutes. Crew pushed schedule forward manually to ensure data was received within required timeline, then accidentally configured another support at the same time. EUM AR 14805 – partial GAC loss. Note that Mike Baker has improved SOMS to work more effectively with the schedulers to not allow this to happen.

  14. Maintenance – 5 reports (3 full GACs) 31 Jan 2013 – Revs 20519, 20520 – GACs not sent to EUM due to incorrect perception that they could not be received during rack move. EUM AR 14633 – 2 GACs not received at EUM 28 Feb 2013 – Rev 20917 – New firewall install failed at SOCC. EUM AR 14691 – 1 GAC not received at EUM. 21 Mar 2013 – Revs 21207, 21208 – Firewall change failed at SOCC; temporarily could not receive data from CE Server. No GACs lost.

  15. Comms – 1 report (1 full GAC) 5 Jan 2013 – Rev 20152 - Unable to transfer GAC to EUM due to wideband outage. GE-Americom tech did not find anything wrong – “cleared while checking”. EUM AR 14579 - GAC not received at EUM.

  16. “Undetermined” – 3 reports (1 partial GAC) 28 Dec 2012 – Rev 20036 – No HRPT for SVL pass.. 15 Jan 2013 – Rev 20300 - EUM reports 750 frames/ 6 minutes user data lost. No AR Raised. Revs. 20300 and 20299 both sent all expected frames to PDS. Partial GACloss. 31 Mar 2013 – Rev 21349 - No HRPT on this SVL support. EUM AR 14745 – due to scheduling issue with SG5 antenna

  17. NOAA-18 SVL Passes for Testing 5 Feb 2013 – Revs 39751 and 39753, call-ups for PDS testing arranged via Emergency Support Form – Canceled that day, due to PDS not ready for testing. 12 Feb 2013 – Rev 39848 - PDS HRPT connection testing unsuccessful. Pass scheduled for HRPT/ISDN equipment move testing, which was successful. 19 Feb 2013 - Call up support added via Emergency Support Form for PDS testing. Test successful.

  18. NOAA-18 SVL Passes for Testing 27 March 2013 – Revs 40454, 40455,– Scheduled passes for Wallops PDS testing - No HRPT due to conflict on antenna with N19. First Rev did not set up. Second Rev set up via Command Procedure and accomplished objectives with TIP. 28 March 2013 – Revs 40467, 40470 - Scheduled passes for Wallops PDS testing - successful, received GACs, tested small command loads.

  19. NOAA-18 SVL Passes for Testing 16 May 2013 – Rev 41159 – Full proficiency support with GAC playback, conducted by controller per procedure. Successful. Note: During this time period, there were many test dataflows of N-18 data to the EUM Ground System for firewall and PDS testing. All were coordinated via phone between the controllers. Thank you to EUMETSAT for all of the testing support!
