  1. Advancing Technology Offers So Many More Options We live in a world and times that offer us so many more options than ever before, also in terms of which we can use technology to our benefit, right from logging on to the internet to those modern machines we use at the office and home every day. Technology is applied over a wide front – even when we train our pets. Decades ago pet training was not much spoken about; today, however, we are much more aware of this aspect. Training your pets to be obedient, to react acceptably, to listen to commands, have great benefits for all. It means the owner remains in charge and sets the pattern for whatever behavior is acceptable, and whatnot. There are many ways to train animals. Think of sending them for one-on-one training with an expert, or group socializing with other animals. Dogs, especially, take well to training, whether by owners or others, such as is offered at training facilities. Many prefer to undertake the training themselves as opposed to sending them for training, as it reinforces the relationship between the dog and owner. Dogs are trained to behave in a certain fashion at home, others are trained because they are used as working dogs, such as the police and security services – or for hunting purposes. In a country like the US - but other parts of the world too – hunting over a dog is a popular activity – in fact, a passion for many. That means that you can’t turn up for the hunt if your dog is untrained and uncontrolled. It would make no sense as the dog would not know what is expected of it, and it would most likely interfere with the proceedings by barking at inopportune times, as an example. So, training is needed. Fortunately, in addition to sending the animals to training school, many individuals now avail themselves of training devices and the appropriate knowledge that comes with reading up about training your dog or speaking to professionals that understand what dog training is about. Also, some technologically advanced methods and devices make it so much easier today. Quality ball training, launchers, and other tools are used more often than before to make sure your dog receives training in obedience. There are some devices on the market today that take dog training to a new level whereby, for example, your smartphone’s functions are used to train and track your dog.

  2. During training, and certainly during wing shoot activities and hunting events, it happens that dogs and owners get separated. This can make both dog and owner nervous. However, some leading devices now make it possible for owners to exercise control of their dogs over long distances of up to a few miles – even if master and dog are not able to see each other. Certain functions which the training – and tracking – device comes out with, enables the control dog trainers and handlers are looking for. It suits them to be in control, and the animal is safe even in the bush or when it wanders off. These devices are used all the time by training professionals, but certainly not exclusively so. More and more amateurs are turning to these new training and tracking tools and devices as the benefits of being able to control your animal over distances become apparent: you can train your dog to be obedient, to react to commands, to behave in a way that causes it no harm, and to always trust you as its leader. Because these devices are more available than before, any amateur with even the most basic knowledge of how a smartphone works are now able to use advanced methods and tools to ensure they can train and track their dogs. There are some great choices in the market for the individual that wants to take training their dogs to the next level.
