  16. Future Developments/Extensions • Mobile Navigation Dispatch System (pre testing) Allows EPC staff at base to send job to Garmin Personal Navigation Device (PND) in vehicle for field staff to drive to point of interest without the need for direction from base staff with access to the system. • Vehicle Access System Extension of Driver Identification system that combines RFID and Relay (Engine cut) to ensure the right driver tag is read before engine starts • SMS text alerts Alert Key EPC staff on their cell phone of critical vehicle events such as stolen vehicles or accidents • Fuel Sensor Realtime monitor of fuel use.

  17. Mobile Navigation Dispatch System (pre testing) Send Job to driver from tracking system to EPC Field Staff Via Tracking Device - > Garmin FMI Cable - > Garmin PND Garmin PND Garmin FMI Cable Tracking Device

  18. Challenges • Tamper A few tamper cases. Mostly new drivers who didn’t know there were anti-tamper measures in place • Lack of an Official Vehicle Use Policy EPC Vehicle Tracker is the tool for vehicle management but it needs a guide/policy to guide its use. One rule for all and not ad hoc rules that apply to some but not others.
