  2. Premises • Approximately 10.1M ‘baby boomers’ were born in Canada between 1946-1964. They are rapidly transitioning into ‘seniors’ • This large segment represents a large but very lucrative market opportunity for innovative companies who will target this segment and position their products/service to them • You are start up group of young entrepreneurs who see a definite business opportunity in identifying products or services that would be relevant to Baby Boomers as a target market. • You are seeking funding for your start up and will need to convince investors that your business concept is viable and can provide a good ROI

Instructions • Each team will consist of 5 members who make up your company ( come up with creative name for your company) • Possible verticals for which there might be relevant products & services targeted at BB might include: • Travel • Bio-medical products • In-home exercise equipment & general fitness • Food and beverage products • Automobiles • Other • Research the needed data in relation to your assigned product/service • Design the appropriate marketing strategy for your product/service • Present six (6) slides maximum to the class as per headings provided • Provide a hard copy of slides to Simi prior to your presentation • Submit a written report that details your product / service and how you will market it. Essentially, I am looking for a detailed go-to-market-plan • Presentation should run no longer than 20 minutes • Be prepared to defend your idea and answer questions • Class presentations – Weeks of Nov. and Dec

Instructions • You will present a total of 6 slides containing the following information: • Slide #1: Key metrics and data points about your Baby Boomer target market • Slide #2: A description of your product(s) or service(s) • Slide #3: Why it is relevant to your target market • Slide #4: How will you market your product(s) or service(s) • Slide #5 Why will you be successful • Slide #6 How much investment are you seeking and how will it be spent
