  3. Logging on The link will take you to this log in page…

  4. Logging on When you have logged on you will go to this page. To access the reports, click on the folder “Document List” under the heading “Navigate” on the left of the screen. (You can also use the Document List tab at the top left hand corner of the screen.)

  5. To access Client Reports from this page Click the box next to Corporate Categories to expand the folder.

  6. To run a results report The folder “Candidate Search” will appear. Click on this, then click on “Search My University”.

  7. To run a results report You will only see your own University listed here. You will need to select it and then use the forward caret (>) to move it into the right hand box. If you want to see ALL your results for the current testing cycle leave all the other fields blank and click “Run Query” in the bottom right hand corner of the box.

  8. To run a results report by date If you want to search for results between particular dates (for example, results since you last ran a report) use the scroll bar to move down the options in the “Prompts” box until you reach “Exam Date Range Start” and “Exam Date Range End”.

  9. To run a results report by date Click on “Exam Date Range Start” and the fill in field opens beneath. Fill in your selected date range in the specified format. Do the same for “Exam Date Range End”. (You can use the calender on the right if you wish.) When you’ve put in your chosen dates, select “Run Query”.

  10. Wildcat searches • Use the % symbol. • For example, to find all candidates whose last name begins “Smi” enter “Smi%” in the “last name” prompt. Then Run Query.

  11. Search result You will end up with a screen that looks something like this (in this example names have been removed).

  12. To view candidate details Click the hyperlink under the candidate name. This will take you to that candidate’s results.

  13. Sorting data – setting Preferences If you wish to sort your data in web view you need to make sure your “Preferences” are set to enable sorting. To access Preferences click the icon on the right hand side of the screen. (You can also access Preferences from the home page, right hand side.)

  14. Sorting data – setting Preferences This takes you to the General tab. Scroll down to find the “Web Intelligence” tab. (Or click on “General” to abbreviate list.)

  15. Sorting data – setting Preferences Under “Select a default view format” select “Interactive”. Click OK.

  16. Sorting data – setting Preferences • When you run your report you can now put your cursor in any column and right click to see your sort options (see next slide). • BUT “Display all” or “Export all Details” will not display this sort.

  17. Sorting data Right click in any column to bring up your sort options (but do not select the column header). Use the “Ascending” or “Descending” sub-list options.

  18. Sorting data If you wish to re-sort data, or use another sort, first remove the previous sort by right clicking in any column and selecting “Sort” and “Remove Sorts” from the sub-list of options

  26. To download your report to Excel – excluding essays At the Results Screen instead of using “Export All Data” go to “Document” and from the drop down select ”Save to my computer as”. Select PDF or Excel.

  27. Missing results – Global Search Global Search is the first place to look if a candidate’s results do not show in the report. This is usually because the candidate has not selected all their university choices in their LNAT profile. From the Document List click on “Global Search”.

  28. Missing results – Global Search The search screen looks like this. You need 2 of the following criteria to search for an individual candidate’s result: name, date of birth, LNAT ID, and UCAS ID. If you are still unable to find the result, contact Lucienne who should be able to find it for you.

  29. Preferences – changing screen view • You can use Preferences to make other changes. For example, to make the screen view of your report bigger under the “General Tab” go to the heading “Document viewing” and select the second option. • Play around with this to find an option you’re comfortable with.

  30. Preferences – date format • The date formats should all be in UK, not US, format. However, if for any reason yours are not go to the General Tab, and check the settings under the heading “Product Locale”…
