CDNs in Context The LMV Joint Venture is a self-directed, non-regulatory conservation partnership that exists for the purpose of implementing the goals and objectives of national and international bird conservation plans within the Lower Mississippi Valley region. • LMVJV Purpose

CDN: Form & Purpose • Conservation Delivery Networks - Forums where agencies and organizations responsible for natural resource conservation coordinate on-the-ground delivery of otherwise independent efforts, prioritizing delivery actions that target development of sustainable landscapes. • Two Core Purposes : • Facilitate communication, coordination, and collaboration among delivery leaders, to include conservation organizations from within and beyond the current JV partnership. • Facilitate communication between landscape conservation planning/design and on-the-ground delivery

Delivery Prioritization Tool Cache River Focus Area – North • Utilizes data from 4 spatially explicit models plus NASS information • Designed to prioritize actions - helping focus CDN efforts • Benefits: • Serves as landscape level planning tool for CDN and other partners to set priorities & target funding • Helps CDN identify site specific project objectives to prioritize and target accomplishment Wetland Restoration Suitability Model Wetlands Protection & Restoration Priority Model NASS – 2010 Soybean Forest Breeding-bird Reforestation Decision Support Model Wetlands Easement Protection Priority Model

CDN Development Accomplishments • Established multiple working groups • Significantly influenced reorganization of AGFC Wildlife Division • Worked with NRCS & TNC to establish two private lands field positions in AR MAV • Supported accomplishment of multiple priority project proposals (NAWCA, MRBI) • Worked with WFF to deliver match funding for FB/BHW projects
