  14. Structure Triage • Three categories of structures: • Those that are not threatened • Those that are threatened and have the potential of being saved • Those that are not able to be saved and too dangerous to protect.

  21. WUI Objectives • How are you going to implement LCES? • What is a physical description. (Ex. Ridge SW of intersection of ? And ?, West of Qemlin park etc.) • What is your physical location (Rough Lat/Long and T R Sec)

  22. WUI Objectives • Identify, from experience, types of fuels • Are there structures threatened (y/n) Are they safely worth saving -Risk/Benefit • Nearest water sources-All options open • Resources needed • Discuss resources available

  23. WUI Objectives • From the closest station, how long will it take to get to the area? • Location of nearest helicopter LZ • Use maps, GIS, Google Earth …… Anything! • Please take 45 mins to come up a with a Pre-plan for your area.
