No money is released until your registration and attendance is approved by the College • Attendance, including active involvement with course confirmed each term • Money is released in 3 tranches – October, February & May • Tuition Fees paid directly to College • Maintenance Loans and Grants paid directly to student How the money flows

Only start repaying 4 years after start of course • Only repay when earnings exceed £21,000 that year • Rate of repayment is 9% of earnings above £21,000 pa • If earning £22,000 repay £90 per year • If earning £31,000 repay £900 per year • Repayment amount is NOT dependant on the size of the loan • A larger loan will take longer to repay. • Threshold £21,000 may increase with inflation from 2017. • After 30 years (or you die! ), all remaining debt is written off • Loan accrues interest of RPI plus 3% • Loan does not affect credit rating – no debt collectors! Paying it Back
