  4. The Birthright The person given the birthright will: • Be the spiritual leader of the family responsible for worship & sacrifices. • Receive two-thirds of the family inheritance. • Have the Covenant in his family-line

Immediate Gratification = Eternal loss! • Esau hated the responsibilities of the birthright - he would be required to care and think of others, not only himself. • Esau wanted ‘self-satisfaction’ NOW - Jacob was willing to wait. Love will wait - Lust will not! • Are you willing to wait on God’s timing and stay faithful when He seems slow to answer?
