  6. 2011 State GR Activities • Expanded participation with policymakers • Increased activity on state issues • Washington continuing education bill • Virginia dam safety • Key alerts in 12 states • Assisted Sections with testimony in 3 states • Drafted letters in 3 states • 5 State/local report cards released • Assisting with 14 currently in various stages

State GR Planning Project • Purpose: Develop 3-5 year plan for SGR program • Process: Engaged SGR Committee • Staff input, interviews with ASCE leadership, survey of Sections/Branches • Results: Identified keys to success for SGR • Recommendations in several areas • Drafted mission statement for SGR program
