Why do we need laws? • Law Defines Right and Wrong - Romans 7:7-13 • God’s Law Called Truth – Psalm 119:142 • Justice Demands Law Must Define as Sinful Before it Will be Counted Against us – Romans 5:1 • Sin Defined: 1 John 3:4 “lawlessness” • Sin Dies Without Law – Romans 7:8 • Deuteronomy 1:39

Why do we need laws? • God to Adam & Eve – Genesis 2:16,17 • They Broke The Commandment – Romans 5:12 • There Has Always Been Law – Romans 5:12,13 • Genesis 4:7 “sin lies at the door” • Sin Doesn’t Exist Without The Presence of Law • Romans 2:14-16 “who show the work of the law written in their hearts”

Why do we need laws? • Cannot Willfully Break Laws – John 14:15 • His Commandments Are Not Burdensome – 1 John 5:3 • They Exist For Our Benefit • They Teach us How to Please Our God • The Part We Could Not do – God Has Done For us • He Sent His Son to Pay Our Debt of Sin • All He Asks in Return is Faithful Obedience to His Will
