Image Media Types • Picture files can be stored as a variety of file types • Each file type has a different format and recommended use • Format specifies how the information in the file is organized internally • JPG and PNG are graphic file formats commonly used on Web pages • BMP and TIF are file formats used in documents • JPEG and PNG formats are compressed formats, which means the file size is smaller and transfers over the Internet easier

Printing Pictures • Print Pictures dialog box • select the photo(s) to print, the paper type, and the page layout • For best results • set your printer resolution to the highest setting for the best quality output • use high-quality glossy paper designed specifically for printing photographs Printing options in Print Pictures • Notes • high-resolution printing takes longer • printer manufacturers also make paper designed to work best with their specific printers

Planning a Movie • To plan a movie, you need to do the following: • decide the purpose of the movie • choose source material • record or capture digital audio and video, called clips • Import images from camera/scanner • sketch the movie to show the order of the audio and video components • determine how you will share the movie with others • Sketch of movie plan:
