Responsibilities of Welfare Officer • Induction of new members of the staff and advising them in their initial difficulties. • Assistance to members of the staff in relation to LPCs, pension papers, gratuity, etc. • Setting up of Staff Benevolent Funds. • Provision for common room in the offices building for the women employees. • Provision of cultural activities (drama, music) • Improvement in the actual working conditions

Provision for creches in the office building. • Establishment of clubs and recreational centres. • Assistant to Government employees in relation to Central Government Health Scheme • Recreational activities may be organized in areas predominantly. • Assistance in relation to transport, housing, school . • Assisting the Chief Welfare Officer of the Department. • Departmental canteens in the office premises
