Program Results • % of U.S. Hospitals that adopted EHRs has doubled from 16 to 35% between 2009 and 2011 • 55% of practices adopted an EHR last year • 3 of 4 patients with paper records want their doctor to adopt an EHR • 80-97% of patients who have paper records believe that EHRs can improve care by ensuring timely access, protect medical records, and expand communications • Incentives are the #1 reason for EHR adoption growth • 90% of FQHCs adopted EHRs • Providers who partner with RECs are twice as likely to receive Medicare EHR Incentive Payments as those who don’t • 70-85% of eligible providers who received Georgia Medicaid EHR incentive payments are GA-HITREC providers • HIT job market growing at over 31% year over year • 1000’s of ONC workforce dev. program graduates
