  1. AGS Biology A Technology Pacing Guide Directions: For the technology portion of the class, you will be creating a power point presentation. Each week, you will send the current week’s slide(s) to your supervisory teacher. At the end of the class, you will present the entire project. After you read and follow the directions on each slide, delete the directions, so that your work can be easily viewed by the teacher. In addition, to the 6 slides described below, you will need to create a title and work cited slide. *Feel free to add animations, change font, or other details to make you power point your very own. Be sure that your slides are easy to read and you are able to describe what you learned.

Assignment 1 • Go to http://www.exploratorium.edu/traits/cell_explorer.html • Interact with the website by exploring the cell organelles. • Next use this slide to list 5 organelles as well as the functions of each. • Be sure to paraphrase; do not plagiarize • Include the website in your Work Cited

Assignment 2- Cell Size and Scale • Go to http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/begin/cells/scale/index.html • Use the slide at the bottom of the webpage to view the term size and scale • On this slide list the following terms in order from smallest to largest red blood cell, human egg, water molecule, glucose, mitochondrion, hemoglobin, antibody, ribosome, grain of salt, E. coli, X chromosome, carbon atom, amoeba, HIV • Include the website in your Work Cited

Assignment 3- Scientist Name Here Do online research and create one slide about your choice of one of the following: • Watson & Crick • Rosalind Franklin • Barbara McClintock • Linus Pauling • Include career path, careers, impact on science, and picture of scientist(s) • Be sure to paraphrase; do not plagiarize • Remember to include at least 1 citation in your Work Cited.
