CDC’s EPLC Implementation Approach • EPLC represents project management best practices • Focus in on the project and product - not the paper, forms or tools • Project management improvement will be incremental over time • Project size, risk, and complexity will determine the appropriate application of rigor and use of documentation

  5. 2010 Stage Gate Review Data • Reporting from National Centers and Offices began in April 2010 • 72 % of organizations have reported significant numbers of gates in comparison to their projects • Results from the reviews • 76% Approved • 19% Approved with condition • 5% Other (discontinue, stop)
