ICADORS Integrated Cognitive Assistive Domotic & Robotic Smart Systems FP7 ICT  Challenge 7

A project focused on providing interactive assistance, health monitoring, and customized memory support for cognitively impaired elderly individuals. The system includes an environment-interactive robot and a health-safety stage based on vital signals and actimetrics recording. It also enables communication between the elderly person, medical and caring teams, and family carers through a domestic multisensors-based micro-PC and a central server.

  2. Needs and challenges of the project • Interactive assistance at home for cognitive disabled elderly persons • cognitively impaired persons at early stage (i.e Alzheimers ’) • Health monitoring and customized daily memory support • Support to emotional and social sustainable communication and links by designing an interactive inclusive and safe home environment • Interactions needed through a safe integrated domotic environment system between: • the elderly cognitively impaired person • the healthcare environment • the home and social environment • the assistance system

  3. Innovative technical system proposal • System composed by two main complementary and integrated devices : • an environment-interactive robot providing assistance, memo, agenda, events recall facilities • a health-safety stage based on vital signals/actimetrics recording and alarm management : sensors network on and around the patient (home environment) • Communication facilities and data transmission between: • the elderly cognitive impaired person • the medical and caring team(s) • the family carers • through a domestic multisensors-based micro-PC (elderly person) and a central server managing and processing data (medical center)

  4. Consortium (under completion) • Health operators and End users partners : • Hospitals and nursing homes : Hospital Broca Paris (coordinator); Bucarest Hospital; Archipel(NL); Turku University(Finland ) • Social Buildings and Dwelling : Habitat et Territoires linked to CECODHAS European network(1/4th of European people);OPAC;CMH • Alzheimers’ and Elderly persons associations… • Research and Technical (academic partners): • cognitive/assistive/safety sub-systems • technical Kernel group : TIMC-INT-ESIEE-IBISC-INSERM-ESIGETEL • Industrial partners: • domotics equipments: Legrand, Etineo, Smart-homes(NL), Kuijper(NL) • medical systems: major European actor(s) to be associated • Communication Providers and Services Platforms • Social & Health Insurance org.
