  1. Trivia: Rudolf Diesel  1890s, “ In the 1890s, Rudolf Diesel invented an efficient, compression ignition, internal combustion engine that bears his name. Early diesel engines were large and operated at low speeds due to the limitations of their compressed air-assisted fuel injection systems.” Performing diesel engine tune-up What is diesel tune-up Tuning a diesel engine isn’t just about getting the most power out of your engine. There’s a delicate balance involved, between finding the right amount of power and what your vehicle can safely handle. It might be tempting to go with the peak power of your car, but not if you’re sacrificing the longevity of your engine. A professional mechanic can help you find the right adjustments for your engine throughout the tuning process.

  2. Set and install injection pump to engine • Inspect injection timing • Bleeding injection system components • Conduct compression testing Performing diesel engine tune-up

  3. set and install injection pump to engine. • 2 types of injection pump on diesel engine • Inline injection pump • Distributor injection pump • Latest: CRDI • Common rail diesel injection Performing diesel engine tune-up

  4. When talking about timing of any kind, but especially advancing, you'll often hear or see the term BTDC, or Before Top Dead Center. Top Dead Center, or TDC, for a particular piston is when that piston is at the very top of the cylinder, or furthest from the crankshaft. The opposite, Bottom Dead Center, or BDC, is when the piston is at its lowest point in the cylinder, closest to the crankshaft. So, BTDC would be the point before the piston is at its uppermost point in the engine. A timing advance is the number of degrees BTDC that ignition occurs. Usually the location is measured in degrees. For example, 10 degrees BTDC is when the crankshaft is 10 degrees before the piston is at its highest point in the cycle. In case you can't figure out degrees just by looking at the crankshaft Inspect injection timing

  6. 4. Conduct compression testing • Technical. A compression test is an excellent way to determine the condition of your engine. Among many other things, it will reveal the state of the valves, cylinders, rings, valve seats, and how these parts are wearing out. Performing diesel engine tune-up

  7. Why do we need to tune up diesel engine? A diesel engine needs more maintenance, because it requires high pressure for combustion. Since there are no spark plugs, it gets overheated making the engine's life at stake. Another aspect would be the worn-out engine components that age over time producing damage to your diesel engine
