Status Overview: SMT • Silicon (more details Demarteau) • Production winding down • DONE • South silicon detector (SMT-S) • Ready to move since ~Oct.26 • Two dry runs completed • Installation next week • North silicon (SMT-N) • 2 barrels done, 3rd barrel done tomorrow • 1 out of 6 disks to complete • Start assembly into half cylinder next week • Ready for DAB at beginning ~ Dec 12 • H-disks ( need 4) • 3 H disks ready • 10% test • Continuing; 81K channels tested • Have taken cosmic events • Take barrel/disk combination out • Put H disk in

Fiber Tracker Status - Waveguides • Waveguide Production and QC continue • Axial replacements (2+1?) • Stereo remakes (10) • Installation • South • All installed • So far 2 to be replaced • QC Data on about 120 (34 to go) • 90 Fully analyzed • 3(4) bad/6 marginal • LED system still problematic at times • Done by Monday • North Started but now on hold • Installed CPS North • No QC data yet • Need to install all LED cables and test • CFT installation starts when South done • QC in real-time with installation • Too much handling of WGs • Some damage in evidence

5. Status Overview • Central Muons (94 PDT’s) • Commissioning continues • Completing electronics installation • Gas system (pipes & pumps) design complete (JK) • Gas recycler/cleaning started (JK) • Forward Muon detectors • Installing

6. Status Overview • Trigger & DAQ • Details from Blazey last time • Commissioning is still okay, but….. • Final hardware arrival is a worry • L2 VME-Alpha boards still a concern. NO working board yet. Now have 25. Not good • Manpower identified at Fermilab ( team CD) • L3 board production a worry: vendor visit • Technical manpower an issue: Varelas, Johns @FNAL starting December • Online • In use at low rate, not on critical path • Placed order for logging machine made

7. Status Overview; Electronics • Electronics • Calorimeter • Preamp installation/commissioning underway (10k installed, 12 PS ready, cooling installed) • BLS has vendor delays • Motherboard: 1250/500/165 • need/bare/stuffed • Daughter cards 5000/3250/950 • Daughter card: 300/week vendor (end Jan. 01 complete) • Muon • PDT electronics - done • Scintillator - ~done • MDT - done • Readout electronics • Readout 100% • Fanout, MFC: done; in use

8. Status Overview; Electronics • Tracking Electronics • Si Interface Card • 160 pc production order released • First deliveries Nov 3. • Testing will start; difficult • Analog Front End boards • Released production start • Taking some $$$ risk to help schedule • 50% in November ??; rest January • MCM going • Company visit next week • Production starts during visit : produced 100; projected rate: 25/day; Need 1900. • Adapter card • 34 with new design at FNAL • Power supplies • VICOR current schedule Dec-Jan • Some power supplies coming in earlier ( still January)

9. Installation • Progressing well. • Will take shield down next week. • Dry runs of SMT-S completed and successful. Next step is real installation ( next week) • Waiting to hang last LARGE C layer pixel plane ( survey) on truss; will happen today or tomorrow  trusses ready to roll into collision hall. • Install SMT-S next week; start Monday • Mechanical installation going well

10. Summary • Concerns • NOT Silicon anymore • Installation: lots of activity/m2;are careful • Electronics delays are THE concern for realistic commissioning • Vendor delays, parts availability • Willing to spend $ to fix if possible • Realistic & comprehensive commissioning before March 1 is vanishing
