  2. 09-04: During the quarantine period in England the breeding stock were blood tested twice for freedom of PRRS, M. hyo, App, Dysentery, Rhinitis, Brucellosis, Aujeszky and Tuberculosis. The health certificate was issued by DEFRA according to the bilateral agreement between China and UK. 09-04: Stansted Airport, UK : Loaded crates getting transported to the plane.

  7. 10-04-2011: Just arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport in China

  8. 10-04-2011: Cargo delivery area at Beijing Capital International Airport. Chinese customs procedures are complicated and very time consuming. With the support of our Chinese partner, Hebei Yufeng Jingan Pig Breeding Co. Ltd the authorities agreed to release the imported pigs within a very short time.

  10. 10-04-2011: Employees of HEBEIseghers refill the drinking water system before departure to the quarantine site.

  11. 10-04-2011: Three police cars, one spare truck, one disinfection pick up and five other cars accompanied the pigs to the final quarantine site in Hebei Anping.

  12. 10-04-2011: On arrival at the quarantine site, special disinfection measures were applied by the Beijing Health Inspection Bureau before the pigs could be unloaded.

  14. 11-04-2011: After unloading the breeding pigs the quarantine site gate closes for the following 45 days to allow the Chinese officials to blood test and follow the extensive Chinese import protocols for breeding pigs. This quarantine site has been specially built for this importation to HEBEIseghers Pig Breeding Co. Ltd.

  15. After a successful quarantine period the pigs will be introduced and acclimatised into the nucleus herd . They will produce the new improved generations of GGP’s for breeding and multiplier farms in 28 Chinese provinces.
