  1. OCD Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a mental illness that can effect all ages of people. It is when unreasonable thoughts cause repetitive behaviors or compulsions. It caused by the blockage of the hormone Serotonin that brings good feelings of feelings of airtightness in the brain. There are many compulsive behaviors and forms of OCD. All them bring terrible anxiety to the person till the they preform the behaviors/compulsions that life the anxiety.

  2. Signs and Symptoms • Anxiety. • Crying. • Aggressive Behavior. • Preforming the same actsover and over again. • Can’t control unwanted thoughts and behaviors

  3. Treatment • Therapy • Medication(anti-depressants, hormones ect…) • There is no deviant cure to OCD, and is controlled by treatments but not cured. • Having willpower to fight it and deal with it.

Tips for Managing The Illness • Try to fight the urge to repeat something. • Pay attention to warning signs that will trigger it. • Plan out you day and activities. • Go head to head with the behaviors and try to get over your anxiety towards it. • Join a support group/have meeting with a therapist. • Take Medication • Learn relaxation and stress management.

  5. Statistics • 2.8 million citizens of the US suffer from it. • People with OCD can go several years without treatment. • There is no specific ethnic group that has it. • People notice it in their childhood.
