  2. « Symbole de l'art roman Pisan, l'église polychrome de San Michèle di Muratu a été construite au Xll e siècle. Le choix des pierres, le calcaire de Saint-Florent et la serpentine du Bevinco ont permis aux maîtres maçons et sculpteurs de laisser libre cours à leur créativité. En 1839, Prosper Mérimée des monuments historiques, découvre San Michèle en même temps que l'architecture romane de l'île.
