Heather Scarecrow Festival 2010 ‘Raising funds for our community’ 1st until 8th August Parking available at Heather St John’s Football club Scarecrow events for this years festival Start - 11am Sunday 1st Aug. Don’t forget to buy a Scarecrow guide and vote for your favourite scarecrow – with around 50 displays you will be spoilt for choice! (Guides are £2 including free treasure hunt, extra treasure hunt forms available for 50p. Find all the hidden scarecrows and be entered into the prize draw) During a visit to the festival, take time to have a good browse at the garage sale at 3 Manor Rd. Proceeds go to the Scarecrow Festival – pop along and pick up a bargain. Refreshments available at various locations in the village including: Heather St. John’s FC Tea-room. (Proceeds going to the football club with a donation to the Scarecrow Festival)Serving hot and cold drinks, light lunch refreshments, and, sweet treats. Scarecrow Tea Room in the function room of the Crown Inn, open 10am-4pm Mon 2nd to Sat 7th. (Proceeds going to the Scarecrow Festival) For scarecrow spotters in need of a mid-route break! Homemade cakes and tea/coffee available. Why not make a return visit on Sun 8th for the Village fun-day at the Crown Inn 10am-4pm? Bouncy castle, hook-a-duck, merry-go-round, test-your-strength, candy floss, ice-cream van, BBQ, face painting and various stalls and other activities (including a display of the David Taylor Memorial Hall plans).
