  5. Leadership development seeks to retain a paradigm of a global connected world • We are all global citizens and live in an interdependent world

  6. Leadership development in developing countries strives to be practical • Takes into account the existing the existing situation and capacity as a starting point and builds further on that • Avoids assignments and activities that have little relevance to current needs and challenges
