Management • Management in all business and human organization activity is the act of getting people together to accomplish desired goals and objectives. • Management comprises planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing, and controlling an organization effort for the purpose of accomplishing a goal.

  4. Library Management • Library management is a process which consist all the works of library to organize library product and service for achieving organizational goal. • We can easily organize library house keeping operations and services with the help of management.

Attitude • Attitude is a function of FOCUS that helps to making a coordination between staff members. • To manage your attitude, you have to CHOOSE to focus on the POSITIVES. • Focus on the good in yourself • Focus on the good in your job • Focus on the good in others • Focus on the good in every situation.

  13. Motivation and Management • Motivation is the internal condition that activates behavior and gives it direction, energizes and goal-oriented behavior. The term is generally used for human motivation. • Motivation is the most important factor to affecting modern management because the modern management theory is completely based on Human oriented.

  14. Why Motivation? • To improve employees qualities. • To achieves the goals of Institutions. • To increase the qualities and quantity of products and services. • To create interest of employees for their duties.

  15. Techniques of Motivation There are two techniques of motivation; • Self-Motivation Techniques • General Motivation Techniques

  16. Self-Motivation Techniques • Learning new technology. • Participation in own interested field. • Positive thinking. • Reading motivational books or reading material. • Attending motivational seminars and lectures.

General Motivation Techniques • Give generous rewards (Pay and other benefits). • Rewards don’t only have to be money all the time. • Provide proper training about new technology. • Show recognition (Expressing appreciation). • Accept suggestions from employees. • Encourage for their great suggestions.
