  3. Only a small percentage of alumni in our area come to chapter events • Los Angeles – 24 % • Orange County – 27% • Portland – 20% • San Diego – 23% • Of the 380,000 living alumni, 25% are engaged

  4. WHEN PLANNING AN EVENT CONSIDER: • Why should people be interested in the event? • What is the value-added factor (beyond meeting other Badgers)? • What is the objective of the event? • Who is the primary audience? • What barriers might you have to overcome? • What opportunity or solution are you providing? • What is unique about the event (or what can you make unique about the event)? • Remember 10-3-1.

  5. Recent Grad Campaign • Connect • Lead • Belong Awareness of WAA 93% among undergraduates (100% among fourth year students), up from 80% in 2006.
