  1. Athena by Brittnea Amspacher • In conclusion, Athena is the Goddess of War and her symbol was the wisest of all animals was the owl. The city Athens was named after Athena and she in return provided an olive tree to the Greeks. She had come out of Zeus’s head fully armed ready to defend the city from intruders. Athena had no real mother, and was Zeus’s favorite daughter. Athena was sheathed in tight draperies, in hands she held a shield and spear, and her head was covered with a helmet. She was no to be rational, potent, intelligent, and peacemaker, but mainly to protect the city from enemies.
