  4. Origins of Hinduism • We'll read a short piece on the origins (beginnings) of the religion in Ancient Indian known as Hinduism. • As we read, we'll determine importance by writing down key facts and main ideas in the space on our page.

  5. Workshop Directions • You will work in triads to fill in the rest of your graphic organizer, looking at the 5 basic beliefs of Hinduism. • As you visit each station, read the article with your partners and review any images provided. • Determine the important main ideas and write those down in the correct space on your graphic organizer.

Summarizing & Synthesizing: Diamonte Poem • Go back to the space under your Creation Myth handout • You will create a diamonte poem summarizing your information on Hindu beliefs. • Diamonte poems are structured like this: Topic Word Adjective, Adjective -ing word, -ing word, -ing word Four nouns - or - a short phrase noun, noun Topic Word
