  1. The Most Popular Carpet Cleaning Myths Debunked - 2 We were discussing something along the lines of myth debunking when it comes to Professional Carpet Cleaning DC and so here we are again. We already established that what we have been taught for generations doesn’t necessarily hold true. Many of those beliefs need to be left alone because they’re downright wrong and baseless. So, without much ado, let’s begin with the second edition of this blog: 1.Can Bleaches Be Used As Carpet Cleaners? No and no! This is a no brainer and the fact that many people still have that question still amazes me. Bleaching is after all only a bleaching agent. It may seem that it removes unwanted color and residue which it does, but that doesn’t mean that it cleans the carpet of all the stains. There is a difference between cleaning and bleaching. Bleaching takes away the color of the fiber rendering it colorless and not exactly stainless. Of course the stain that has left its color back and has dried up would go away but in the process you would end up ruining the actual color of your carpets and rugs. So, unless you want light or almost white patches on those expensive carpets of yours, I would suggest you to avoid bleach at all costs. Although you might argue in favor of oxygen based bleach, in that case I would recommend you to test your carpets and fabrics for colorfastness first. 2.Can We Quit Vacuuming And Go Straight To Washing The Carpet? Of course you can but do you really want to? You don’t want any more mess than you are already about to make of your home while cleaning your carpets. All professional carpet cleaning DC companies start by vacuuming the carpets before they move on to the washing part. This is for the simple reason that it lightens the burden on the detergent used and also reduces water consumption while washing. Vacuuming also removes all the loose dirt, debris and pet hairs from the carpets which otherwise create a huge mess when combined with water and detergent. For more contact here:-
