  1. Maplestory Class Guide By: Nate Boyd

  2. Basis • This is based on my opinion, don’t automatically shut out a class just because it sound like a bad choice. All classes have advantages and disadvantages so try them all! 

  3. Explorers • These are the five basic classes of maplestory. They include the bowman, mage, theif, warrior, and pirate job paths.

  4. Bowman • One is a crossbowman. This class focuses on mobbing rather than bossing. In order to do this the marksman has many buffs in order to raise his/her attack power. Also, they come equipped with mainly mobbing skills.

  5. Bowman (cont.) • The bow master. The name says it all. This is a much more bossing oriented class. With most of the same buffs as the marksman its attacks are what sets it apart. With a deployable super shooting bow it’s no mystery why this is a favorite of advanced players.

  6. Mage • The two elemental based mages are fire, poison and ice, and lighting archmages. The most popular form is the bishop. This is used to help out friends with their many party buffs.

  7. Thief • The two main thieves are the night lord and shadower. Both are bossing based as their main skill both hits only one enemy.

  8. Dual Blade • The dual blade is a sub path thief. They follow their own story line and are lead by lady syl. They have high mobility and are balanced in their ability for bossing and mobbing. They are also quite low in the HP stat though.

  9. Warrior • Heroes are used mainly for bossing. Paladins are mainly for support on bossing runs. Dark knights are used for an attacker on bosses.

  10. Pirate • Bucaneers turn into super saiyan-like gods, and are great for starters. Corsairs are used for bossing and are also great for starters.

  11. Cannonner • Great damage, low mobility. Not much else to say. Pure AWESOMNESS.

  12. Cyngus Knights • These are pretty much explorers with elemental powers.

  13. Thunder Breaker • This class is a pirate version of a dual blade. This class does a lot of damage when properly used.

  14. Dawn Warrior • This class is both defensive and offensive. With two different “stances” the skills are anything but boring. With a faster attack speed than most warriors this class is definitely fun.

  15. Wind Archer • The wind archer focuses on mobility and one-hit kills. This definitely comes in handy when bossing. When maxed buffed the crit rate is of the charts.

  16. Nova • These classes are from another world (literally). They both are far more powerful than their explorer counterparts.

  17. Kaiser • Kaiser is the biggest tank in the game beside aran. It also had one of the highest HP. If you want to feel invincible and love dragons. You should give this class a try.

  18. Angelic Buster • This class is high in mobility and power. If you don’t mind a high pitched voice and girly animations. This class is definitely worth figuring out.

  19. Heroes (Legends) • All of these classes are powerful variants of the explorer class.

  20. Aran • This class gets more powerful ass it gets more comb counts. By fourth job and being semi-funded you can hit well over 200k.

  21. Phantom • This class is very versatile. With high mobility and the ability to steal explorer skills you can buff yourself for more exp and train super fast.

  22. Evan • This class depends on a dragon to attack. This may sound a bit lame. But the skills prove just the opposite. Aside from low HP this is quite a well-balenced class.

  23. Luminous • This class if very strong for a mage. The dual element skill style provides lots of amazing animations. The range on this class is amazing.

  24. Mercedes • This class is mobility and ranged based. With a link skill giving bonus exp and quickly killing skills this is another class for beginners.

  25. Resistance • These classes live in Eldenstein. A town taken over by black wings. Most skills have some sort of technology theme.

  26. Battle Mage • This is the only physically attacking mage. This does high damage and has decent mobility.

  27. Wild Hunter • This class rides a panther and is very high in mobility. The main skills for 4th job cover both bossing and mobbing.

  28. Mechanic • This class is very OP. Coming equipped with a mech this class does exceptionally high damage for a pirate.
