  3. EQ: What are the goals of the SAT Online Course? The goals of the SAT Online Course are to increase student achievement to improve reasoning skills to improve critical reading skills to improve writing and communications skills to increase students’ familiarity with a reasoning test to increase students’ awareness of SAT as a reasoning test to improve Georgia’s SAT scores and other critical tests

Why Participate? • Georgia students who registered and participated in the program scored : • 13 points higher on the critical reading section of the SAT • 19 points higher on the mathematics section of the SAT • 16 points higher on the writing section of the SAT • Would your students like to see a 48 point gain on their SAT? • It is FREE!

Educator Registration www.satonlinecourseschool.com • Click on “Register Now” link at the bottom of the Educator’s Column. • Enter your one-time use (school administration can generate these codes) Activation Code_____ and School Code______ (You school’s College Board number) 3. Complete the registration form and submit.

  14. Complete Registration • The long teacher code you used to access the site will not be used again • Pick a user name you will remember • Passwords need to have at least one number • Check/ uncheck the box indicating if you would like SAT online email updates • Complete registration

Use the automated system or teacher scoring. Choose from more than 25 essay topics. • Score Essays Scoring guidelines and sample essays • Resources Resources include training tutorial, sample correspondences to parents, community, organizations.

  29. Class Management • Be sure to use your last name as the first word in your class title: it makes it easier for students to find your class • Tell students to pick your class when they create their account • You can add students who have already created their accounts
