  2. Young Joseph • Rachael, who gave birth to Joseph, was Jacobs true love • Joseph was the youngest of eleven brothers and because of this he was favored • Jacob made a very special robe for Joseph because he cared a lot about Joseph

  3. Josephs Dream • One day Joseph had a dream about bunches of grain bowing down to him and the eleven stars, sun, and moon bowing down to him • Brothers made plans to kill Joseph • Threw him in the well and sold him into slavery in Egypt • Told father he was killed by an animal

  4. Joseph in Jail • Joseph became Potiphar’s helper • Joseph was thrown back in jail because of Potiphar’s wife • Cupbearer/baker’s dream that Joseph interpreted • Cupbearer forgot about Joseph and he stayed in jail for two more years

  5. The Pharaoh’s dream • One day the pharaoh had a dream no one could explain • Joseph warns him the next seven yrs. Nothing will grow • He tells the pharaoh to save food each yr. before the bad harvest comes • Pharaoh puts Joseph in charge of all of Egypt

  6. Joseph meets with brothers • People from all countries traveled to get food from Egypt. • His brothers show and bow down because he is an important person • Keeps Benjamin captive for stealing • Later, he tells his brothers that he is Joseph, the one they sold into slavery

  7. Theme/Moral • If someone has caused you pain and suffering, do not try to get revenge. You need to try to forgive that person like Joseph forgave his brothers.

  8. conflict • Man Vs. Man • Joseph was faced with bad luck throughout his life caused from his brothers selling him into slavery. Joseph had strongly disliked his brothers for ruining his life.
