  2. What are Killer Whales? • Killer Whales are mammals that are found in all oceans and most seas. • They are descended from land living animals. • Killer whales sometimes referred to as orca. They are a toothed whale. They belong to the oceanic dolphin family. • Breath in air.

  3. What do killer whales eat? • Killer whales eat mostly fish but some eat: mammals, sea lions, seals, birds, walruses, and even large whales.

  4. Killer whales endangered • Killer whales are endangered due to the environment and human actions. • In some areas where killer whales live there has been a drop in population because a loss of food supply. • Killer whales made the endangered species list in 2005.

  5. predators • Killer whales eat most of the fish that fisherman make a living on. • As the fisherman take all there fish the whales have to move to find more food. • humans also kill killer whales as a sport and for the meat.

  6. protecting killer whales • People try to protect killer whales but they don’t know the specific areas that need to be protected. • Over the years there have been devastation in the killer whales habitat like oil spills which dropped the number of whales drastically.

  7. What needs to be done? • Humans need to stop over fishing because there taking most of the food the killer whales eat. • Humans shouldn’t kill killer whales as a sport its just cruel. • Humans should stop polluting the ocean. • If we follow these things it will be a great start in saving endangered killer whales.
