  1. Understanding the Concept of Private Security Agency Regulation Act (PSARA) Private Security Agencies are the organizations engaged in offering security services, such as training for security guards. The private security agencies are being operated under Private Security Agencies Regulation Act, 2005 or PSARA. Without holding this license, no private security agency can provide security guard and operate a business. There is constant demand for private security services among the public for protection against various criminal activities. There is constant rise of private security services and government has controlled operation and formation of agencies through Private Security Agencies Regulation Act, 2005 as it is important for national security. Security is the matter of concern and the concerned state government provides the power to the security agencies to regulate their affairs. Hence, with controlled authority, the state government formulates the rule of the conditions to issue the license, along with training specification, process of verification of parenting to the guards, and supervisors.

  2. To obtain the PSARA license for Uttarakhand, every private security agency should assign supervisors to keep track on the work of security guards. The agency should also provide the necessary skills and training to supervisors. A person from navy, army, or air force with 3 years of experience at least, should be given preference with the engaging supervisor. The criteria for disqualification and qualifications for security guards are also defined under the act to obtain PSARA license for Maharashtra. It also specifies uniform of the staff and health condition to assign them as security guards. After getting application, such inquiries are made by the controlling authority. Once NOC is issued from the policies, the controlling authority either rejects or issues the license with a reason. To complete the process of obtaining PSARA license for Rajasthan, the total period required is 60 days. Every security agency should conduct its activities in six months of getting license.
