  1. March Accountability & Quality Update • Extend I Field (Online) April 8-26 • Training at the school-level with TC and Mr. Smith • ELA-GRES, Page St, EMS, and WMS (Grades 3,4,6, and 7) • Science-GRES, Page St., EMS, and WMS (Grades 5 and 8) • Grade 10-WMHS (Grade 10) • Spring Testing (May 20-24, MCEC; May 29-June 11, Elementary; June 5-11, High) • Trainings: • May 1st ; 8:30 AM- 11:30 Elementary; 1 PM- 4 PM Middle • May 2nd ; 8:30 AM- Noon, High • Audit 50% of Test Sessions • Books- Students may a read a book as they finish @ Elementary level-school will define their own transition process. • Floating Proctor-Plan must be submitted to Takeda LeGrand for each test session that will utilize a floating proctor arrangement with the school-level testing plan AND parents and students must notified before test day that this arrangement is being utilized.

  2. PowerSchool Update • Optional –Roster Verification Work Session • When: Thursday, April 4, 2019 11:00 AM-12:30 PM (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada). • Where: MCS Staff Dev. RM • PowerSchool Friday, March 8 at 5 p.m. and ending by 5 a.m., Tuesday, March 12. There will be no service to PowerSchool, Canvas, School Net, etc. on Monday, March 11th. • For standard operational purposes, data managers should save the following documents to the secure server \\mcs05 and print hard copies of the following to have on hand Monday: • Transcripts • Student schedules • Emergency contact information • Allergies/Medical logs • Transportation records  • Attendance Rosters • Schedules/Course Tallies • Protect your home (ADT).

  3. 2019 Summer School Letter- A summer school letter with dates, times, and eligibility criteria must be shared with students and parents before the end of April. Sample letter from EMS shared via email. Test Administration: All tests will be administered online. • Middle School:June 13th until June 28th, at each Middle school. • EOGs: Grades 6-8 ELA; Grades 8 Science. • High School: EMHS, WMHS, and MCEC will run Summer School from June 13th until June 24th on the *MCEC campus • EOCs: Biology and English II. All tests will be administered online. • *There will be a shuttle bus running from the home school to the MCEC campus. • Testing will occur on June 25th and 26th • High School Summer Credit Recovery (must have EOC score on file)June 13-14; 17-21, 24-26 - 10 days   • EMHS, WMHS and MLA will run credit recovery programs at their respective sites. • MLA will work with all MCS Seniors to recover credits at MLA. • Elementary- June 17-20; 8:30 am – 2:30 pm • 4th and 5th Grade ELA, and 5th Grade Science • EOG ELA and Science Testing: June 24-26

AdvancED Check-in (Greatest Opportunities) • Increase responsiveness to Classroom Walkthrough Data • Recommended next step: Focus on differentiation of instruction and technology integration • Increase tools use to gather feedback from internal and stakeholders • Recommended next step: Utilize Climate and Culture surveys in the eProve system provided by AdvancED • Formal Peer-to-Adult Relationships • Recommended next step: Request for schools to schedule an advisory group for teachers and students that clearly identify student-teacher assignments. • Career Development Services • Recommended next steps: Increase career development opportunities at all grade levels.

  5. Equity Update • UREI- summary findings shared via email. Spring/EOY visits will occur in May. • Diversity & Inclusion Taskforce Meeting: March 13th, 3:30-4:30, 267 in Capel Hall (Building 200) Montgomery Community College-Mr. Andrew Gardner Host • Racial Equity Institute (REI): District, high school, middle, and elementary representation. Need elementary (White/Hispanic/Asian/Male). April 2-3, Fayetteville, NC. • Title V Safe Talk & Puberty Training: March 22nd, link shared via cabinet notes. Lunch and $25 gift card to first 25 registrants. • Restorative Practices Training: TBA • Equitable Practices : Think-Pair-Share Activity
