  4. Student-Athlete Eligibility • All students are eligible for sports if they have: • Minimum 2.0 GPA (Yes, this 8th grade term counts!) • CIF approval (only applicable if a transfer from another high school) • Current physical/athletic packet on file

  7. Athletic Clearance Packet • Create an account on athleticclearance.com • Follow steps, upload completed physicalform and insurance card, wait for clearance notification from athletic department • Must be COMPLETEDBEFORE TRYOUTS or 1st day of practice • Mandatory for all athletes

  13. Physical Day • Exer Urgent Care - Wendy Dr • Thursday May 9 2:30 pm - 8:30 pm • Saturday May 11 8:00 am – 6:00 pm • $40.00 cash or check • payable to NPHS Athletics • Fundraiser • Physicians donating their services • Physical will last all year (2019-2020)

  14. Transportation • Buses are expensive! Over $145,000 for NPHS athletics alone! • Transportation assistance: • 1st sport $124 2nd sport $71 3rd sport $54 • Pay with check in student store or athletic office; made out to NPHS • Online at nphs.org, student online store, or athleticclearance.com

  15. “Dead” Period CIF mandates a 3 consecutive week period during the summer • No practices, running, or conditioning allowed • Weight Room OK • Please see individual sport coaches for dead period dates & plan your vacations accordingly

  16. Athletic Department Expectations • All Student Athletes will: • Be students first • Maintain a positive attitude • Work hard, always do their best • Communicate with their coaches • Remember they not only represent themselves, they represent their team and school both on and off the field.

  17. Zero Tolerance • Any student suspended from school for any reason is also suspended from their sport or activity for one calendar yearfrom the time of suspension • Co-curricular appeal committee • Make request to Athletic Director within 5 school days of suspension (packet in office)
