The angle beta / phi1

This meeting will discuss the published papers from BaBar and Belle related to B-factories, including topics such as J/psi.K*, D(*)D(*), D(*)h0, and more. It will also cover future prospects and limitations in experimental methods and interpretation.

Belle Published 1) Reference 2) ... Foreseen papers in time to be included in the book : 1) Belle plans to update most of the important modes to full dataset. Summary of papers (BaBar+Belle): 1) PRL: 2+? 2) PRD: 9+? 3) ....

  3. Section subdivision • For each subsection • CKM context for measurement. How it fits into bigger picture. (0.5 - 1.0 p) • Experimental methods (1 - 2 p) • Results including experimental limitations. (0.5 p) • Interpretation including theoretical limitations. (0.5 - 1.0 p) • Future prospects (here or all together at the end?) (0.5 p) • Typical subsection page count: 3 - 5 p. 1) Intro/overview 2) ccbars (J/psi K0, …) 3) ccbard (J/psi 0, DDbar) 4) cubard (D0h0) 5) Charmless qqbars a) Q2b b) 3-body, non-Dalitz c) 3-body, Dalitz 6) Review of methods to break discrete ambiguity (J/psiK*, 3K, …). 7) sin() 8) Future prospects (at LHCB and Super B factories) 9) Summary Approximate expected # pages needed for whole section: 24 - 40 p

  4. Inter-correlation All: Should we have a section on TDCPV analysis (general S and C measurement) in the tools and methods? This would be helpful for beta and alpha. Tag-side interference: Where does this go? In tagging section? Or (new) TDCPV analysis section? : Related to gamma section, though fits better in beta (It’s TDCPV not direct CPV). Charmless qqbars: Event selection and background suppression related to charmless B decays sec. Resolution: refer to charmless B decays section for details on these methods. Charmless qqbars, Dalitz analysis Point to Dalitz analysis section for generalities. J/psiK* TD angular analysis Should we have section on angular analysis of B->VV in the tools and methods?

  5. Contributors Confirmed (beside section editors) BaBar: Max Baak ( full reco, tag-side interference) Eli Ben Haim (charmless 3-body) Adrian Bevan (J/psi 0, advise on main ccbars) Chunhui Chen (ccbars, DDbar, …) Chih-hsiang Cheng (ccbars, D0h0, …) Alfio Lazzaro (charmless Q2b) Abi Soffer ( partial reco) Belle: TBA Un-confirmed BaBar: # Belle: #
