  2. What does it mean? • Begin with an end in mind? What does it mean to you? • Visualization • What characteristics of self do you notice? • What are you wearing? • What do you do?

  3. Crossroads of Life • Take out a piece of paper and answer the following questions. Do NOT put your name on it. We will not be sharing these! • Do you want to go to college or trade school? • What will your attitude toward life be? • Should you try out for that team or go out for that activity? • What type of friends you do you want to have? • Who will you date? What will they be like?

  4. Crossroads Cont. • Sex before marriage? • Do you see yourself drinking, smoking, doing drugs? • What values will you choose? • Relationship with your family? What will it be like? • How will you contribute to society?

  6. Personal Mission Statement • Personal credo or motto • States what your life is about

  8. Mission Statement • Your options for creating your own mission statement • The Brain Dump – speed write your mission for 15 minutes with no editing. Go back and revise after 15 minutes. • The Retreat – Be alone and reflect • Quote Collection – look at quotes that are important to you find your own personal meaning.

Creating Your Mission Statement • You will create your mission statement in a media format (PowerPoint, iMovie, Prezi, etc.) • It will contain • You mission statement • Photos, pictures, images that emphasize your mission • Music or background • Timeline, today to brainstorm • Monday – lab • Tuesday - lab
