  2. BYOT Stafford County Public Schools Bring Your Own Technology • On the first day of school 2013 at our middle and high schools: • the Internet will be open to all privately owned devices for instructional use in the classroom and with teacher permission.

  5. BYOT Stafford County Public Schools Bring Your Own Technology • Acceptable Devices include: • Laptops and/ or iPads • Netbooks and/or Tablets • Cell Phones and/or Smart Phones • iPod Touch • eReaders, etc. • Devices that are used as web servers are not allowed.

BYOT Stafford County Public Schools Bring Your Own Technology • Other Classroom Uses Include: • To access current events and information • Take and share notes • Access content websites • Organization: calendar/files/assignments, etc. • Student and teacher collaboration • Access textbooks online. • Collaborate online • Other ways in which your teacher may allow

  12. BYOT Stafford County Public Schools Bring Your Own Technology • ParentInformation • Devices are subject to search if there is suspicion of wrong doing. • Only the SCPS network should be used while in school. • No Hot Spots! • No personal 3G use.
