  1. God over and over instructs His people “Fear not.” • “After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward’” (Gen 15:1). • Ps 46:1-3. • “Do not fear” (Matt 10:31). • “Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer” (Rev 2:10).

  2. “With Jesus as Lord, we have no reason to fear.”

  3. John 14:1-6

  4. “With Jesus as Lord, we have no reason to fear.”

  5. We can trust in Jesus. • Trust in God is often seen as a way of overcoming fear & trepidation. • “Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust” (Ps 16:1). • “The Lordis my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold” (Ps 18:2).

  6. How can we trust in Jesus when the world is turning upside down?

  7. This is the same Jesus who did not keep excruciatingly painful things from happening to Himself. • “Do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?” (Matt 26:53).

  8. Remember that God loves you more than you can possibly imagine. • “The very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows” (Lk 12:7). • “He cares for you” (1 Pet 5:7).

  9. Remember that God will be with you every step of the way. • “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Cor 12:9). • “He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’” (Heb 13:5).

  10. Remember that God will triumph over evil. • “He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet” (1 Cor 15:25). • “The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever” (Rev 20:10).

  11. Regardless of what happens, we have a home in heaven. • “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you” (Jn 14:2). • “We know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens” (2 Cor 5:1). • We a blessing to know that we have a bright home in glory! • Do you know the anticipation of future glory?
