Join us for exciting performance opportunities and cultivate your classical guitar playing technique. Parents, stay updated on our performance schedule and get involved in hosting house concerts. Let us know your preferences regarding photography, filming, and other activities. Together, we can create a memorable musical experience!

  1. Welcome toLOUDOUN YOUTH GUITARS!

  2. What is Loudoun Youth Guitars • A performance group – not a guitar class or club. • One of the most highly respected youth ensembles in the D. C. area -- it features some of LoCo’s best young guitar students • Volunteer effort on the part of directors, students, and parents; driven by a commitment

  3. Exciting performance opportunities: • Holiday Concert (December) • National Institutes of Health - April 2 • Mid-Maryland Guitar Day - April 4 • Marlow Guitar Concerts with Los Angeles Guitar Quartet – April 18 • Barns at Rose Hill (Mother’s Day) • Croatian Embassy (End of May)

  4. STUDENTS: ..are responsible for maintaining a high level of classical guitar playing technique: good tone quality, projection, expression, …adhering to productive rehearsal techniques. Enjoy this opportunity responsibly! Attend rehearsals, if you can not make it, let me know beforehand! I would greatly appreciate it. Keep your music organized in a separate binder! Bring your music to rehearsals! This saves time!

  5. PARENTS: • Performance Schedule will be on Aguado Guitar Concerts. Go to Loudoun Youth Guitars. • House Concerts. Let me know if you would like to host one! • Make sure your child has the necessary equipment: • A quality guitar, quality folding music stand, foot stool, tuner, binder, good strings on the guitar • Performance attire for boys: white shirt, black pants, black shoes, black socks, neck tie • Performance attire for girls: any combination of black and white performance-appropriate clothes. • Occasionally there will be additional rehearsals on Thursdays and some rehearsals will be extended till 9 PM. I will communicate this timely. • MAKE SURE STUDENTS BRING THEIR MUSIC TO PRACTICE!

Let me know if your child may not be photographed or filmed! • Mrs. Olivares will coordinate snacks, thank you! • Application fee $50-- payable to AguadoGuitar Concerts by September 30. • Aguado Guitar Concerts support us, enjoy! • Karlovac Summer Guitar School • Check your e-mail on a regular basis!
