  2. Before starting to design poster you should: 1-Prepare summarized information that includes figures, charts, tables summarize texts (collected from your report information and seminar) 2- Collect information about the requested types and size of poster.

  3. Simple steps to design scientific and academic posters show as follow:

  4. 1- Chose Microsoft power point as a simple, suitable and available program: Open ppt as follow step.... Right click on desk top → Microsoft Power Point Presentation

  5. 2- Write requested poster size as follow: Design → Page set up → write width and height for the slide size → click Ok Note: Size A1 poster Width = 59.4 cm Height = 84.1 cm

  6. 3- Select slide orientation (poster will be vertical or horizontal) as follow steps: Design → slide orientation → chose portrait or landscape 4- Design your poster template by using different shapes Insert → vary shapes can be used

  7. 5- Use (Copy and Past) summarized information into column of the poster template NOTE: Size A1 (594mm×841mm = 59.4cm× 84.1cm = 23.4 inch × 33.1 inch) can be seen as a standard size and chosen as a suitable poster size for competition at the Salahaddin University.

  8. Font size of posters part The following preferred size is suitable for content of both ‘‘A1 & A0’’ size poster 1- Posters title between (70-90) 2- Authors & supervisors name (40-44) 3- University, College, Department name (36-40) 4- All Subtitle heading (48-54) 5- All Text body (32-36) 6- Figures, tables, charts name (20-28) 7- Text body of reference (16-24)
