  3. CMS English requirements • “All students applying for admission on the basis of study completed overseas where the medium of instruction is not English are required to provide evidence of a satisfactory level of competence in the English language.” CMS School Handbook 2010

  4. TOEFL & IELTS • TOEFL • 550 (with at least 5 on the Test of Written English) • IELTS • 6.0 (with at least 6.0 in writing band) • TOEFL < 600 or IELTS < 7.0 • Must pass ESLA101 Academic Writing and Research (in your first semester)

  5. Entry via Pathways • B (or better) at level 7 of Pathways College English Language programme • Certificate of Attainment in English Language (CAEL) – 43 pts. • CAEL007 Advanced English 1, or • CAEL008 Advanced English 2

  6. Mathematics requirements • Certificate of Attainment in Foundation Studies (CAFS) – 120 points needed • CAFS002 English for Foundation Studies (compulsory) • CAFS004 Mathematics with Calculus for Foundation Studies, or • CAFS005 Mathematics with Statistics for Foundation Studies, or • CUPR008 Bridging Mathematics & Statistics

  7. CMS degree programmes • BCMS & BCMS(Hons) – Bachelor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences • BSc & BSc(Hons) – Bachelor of Science • BE & BE(Hons) – Bachelor of Engineering • BCGD & BCGD(Hons) – Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design

  11. Conjoint Degrees • Complete two degrees concurrently • E.g. • BTchg/BSc – Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Science • BSc/BMS – Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Management Studies • … just about any combination • Generally simpler to do a double major

And beyond baccalaureate … • Graduate certificates and diplomas • If you already have a Bachelors in any subject • GradCert – 100 pts (60@100+ & 40@300+) • GradDip – 120 pts (120@100+ & 80@300+) • Postgraduate certificates and diplomas • If you already have a Bachelors in a related subject • PGCert – 60 pts (500 level) • PGDip – 120 pts (500 level) • Graduate and Postgraduate degrees • MCGD, MSc, MPhil & PhD
